How does snagging work?

Snagging a house or apartment requires specialist knowledge and is an important part of buying new-build property.

Some solicitors recommend using a professional snagging company before funds are sent to the builder and with some developers putting pressure on customers to give them a snag list within just 7 days after completion it is important to get it right!

A fully qualified Pro-Snag inspector will attend your new-build property for around 3-4 hours to carry out the full inspection.

During this inspection we check all areas of your home, including:
  • External cavity wall insulation inspections
  • Plumbing and electrical testing
  • Visual inspection of standards and finish – internally and externally
  • Aerial views of your roof tiles and guttering systems
  • Inspection of loft spaces and insulation

A full photographic and annotated report with time stamped images is then provided electronically within 24 hours of completion, so that you can be efficient and timely in fixing any errors.

If the service you require is not listed, just give us a call and we’ll do what we can to make sure that whatever your objective is we will do our very best to meet it!
